Uncommon flagpole finial from the opening ceremonies of the Stockholm 1956 Summer Olympics equestrian events, measuring approximately 4″ x 8.25″, featuring a cut-out of the emblem of the Equestrian Games, displaying a horse and rider surmounting the Olympic rings. Due to Australian agricultural quarantine regulations, the equestrian events of Melbourne's 1956 Summer Olympics were held five months earlier in Stockholm, Sweden.
