Joey Ramone’s personally-owned rare promotional Ramones scarf, 51″ x 6″, which features an attractive design pattern of high-quality ‘jacquard weaving’ that features the names of each band member, “Johnny, Joey, C. Jay, Marky” above and below “Ramones,” on the one side, and “Gabba Gabba Hey” on the other; both of these are bookended by “Hey Ho” and Let’s Go.” In fine condition. Due to the complex and costly manner of weaving, only a scarce number of these limited-edition scarves were produced and sold in the 1990s.
According to Andy Gore, this scarf was presented to him backstage at a Ramones concert by Joey Ramone. ‘I was really surprised when Joey offered to gift it to me because I was Johnny's good friend and we all know how that tension was when all of us were hanging out together in the same vicinity. Part of me thinks he gave it to me while Johnny was present to somehow piss Johnny off for some strange reason.’
