American poet (1887-1962) who is known for his work about the central California coast and is considered an icon of the environmental movement. ALS signed twice as “R. J." and "Robinson Jeffers,” one page, 5.5 x 8.5, The Weddell House (Cleveland, Ohio) letterhead, November 1937. A handwritten letter for collector Harold Trevillian, in full: "Perhaps you can cut off the lower half of this page, for the card to insert in 'Solstice.' I have dated it as from my home, although we are traveling at the moment." Jeffers has added his requested autograph to the lower portion of the sheet: "Inscribed to Harold D. Trevillian, Cordially, Robinson Jeffers, Tor House, Carmel, California. November, 1937." In very good to fine condition, with light stains to the upper half.
