The UHF T/M Transmitter was responsible for transmitting telemetry and telecommand data between the rocket and ground control. Telemetry refers to the process of collecting and transmitting various measurements and data from the rocket during its flight, such as information about its position, velocity, altitude, temperature, and other relevant parameters. Telecommand involves sending commands and instructions from ground control to the rocket, allowing engineers and operators to control and adjust the rocket's systems as needed.

The UHF T/M Transmitter operated in the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) range of the electromagnetic spectrum, which is typically used for radio communication over relatively short distances. This transmitter played a critical role in relaying real-time information about the rocket's performance back to ground control, enabling engineers to monitor the mission's progress and make necessary adjustments if any issues were detected.
