Export restricted (ITAR), sale only to US Citizens and Organizations. Rigid high-temperature insulation assembly used in the wings of the Space Shuttle to protect the aluminum structure from the radiant heat of the Reinforced Carbon-Carbon leading edge of the wing during reentry. Measuring approximately 8″ x 8.5″ x 5″, the part consists of an Inconel sheet encasing insulation material, with attached bracket marked: "V070-190254-002, S/N 002, Hi Temp Insul." The bracket is lightly marked "Scrap" in red ink.
