FDR pardons a bank employee for abstraction of funds

World War II-dated partly-printed DS as president, one page both sides, 9 x 13.5, December 7, 1942. President Roosevelt pardons Alvin F. Roberston who “pleaded guilty in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia to an indictment…charging the abstraction and conversion to his own use of certain moneys and funds of a national bank, a member of the Federal Reserve System…[and] he was placed on probation for five years…I, Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United States of America…do hereby grant unto the said Alvin F. Robertson a full and unconditional pardon." Signed at the conclusion by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and countersigned by Attorney General Francis B. Biddle. The red Department of Justice seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In very good to fine condition, with light staining and intersecting folds.
