French photographer, painter, and poet (1907-1997) who, as a romantic partner of Pablo Picasso, was depicted in a number of his paintings. ALS in French, signed “Dora,” one page, 6 x 7.5, February 16, 1960. Handwritten letter to a friend, in part (translated): "I see you are tested…turn to God and pray to him…We are persecuted by the whole world. Who cares, God loves us and everything happens for the good of our souls." In fine condition, with a rusty paperclip impression at the top and her surname annotated in ink in another hand at the bottom of the page.
