Academy Award-winning Hungarian-born composer (1907-1995) best known for his scores to such classic films as Spellbound, Double Indemnity, and Ben Hur. Uncommon glossy 8 x 10 photo of the award-winning composer, signed and inscribed in black ballpoint, "…from Miklos Rozsa, 1993.” In fine condition, with scattered light creasing.
During his Hollywood career, Rozsa received 17 Academy Award nominations, winning three Oscars for Spellbound (1945), A Double Life (1947), and Ben-Hur (1959). Additionally, he composed quite a few important film noir scores, including Double Indemnity, The Killers, Brute Force, Naked City, The Asphalt Jungle, and The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. The reason Rozsa's autograph appears 'shaky' is because he suffered from the nerve and muscle disorder myasthenia gravis.
