ALS signed “James K. Polk,” one page, 7.5 x 5, February 16, 1843. Handwritten letter to a gentleman in Nashville, in part: "I transmit to you herewith this letter which I promised to write on yesterday.—I have written to Dr. Ramsey. Hoping to hear from you early after you reach home." In very good condition, with irregular toning and staining, not at all affecting the signature. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as "MINT 9."
