Fantastic hand-addressed and free franked mailing panel, 5.75 x 3.5, addressed by Washington, "To Lieut. Col. Miller at York Town," marked "Public Service" in the upper right, and franked in the lower left corner, "Go: Washington." In very good condition, with lights staining and toning, and silking on the back to reinforce a tear which passes through the signature. An ultra-desirable autograph with "Yorktown" in Washington's hand, directly naming the site of his greatest military feat—leading the Continental Army, Washington's decisive victory at the Siege of Yorktown prompted the British government to negotiate an end to the Revolutionary War. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
