Description

American boxer (1866-1933) who was the first gloved heavyweight boxing champion of the world from 1892 to 1897. ALS signed “Jim Corbett,” one page, 6 x 8, personal Mrs. James J. Corbett letterhead, August 5, 1926. Handwritten letter to Bill, in full: “Just returned home from a few weeks motor trip and found a bunch of mail. I am so sorry Mrs. Levey is ill and do hope she is coming around alright again. Well I will be out there the first of the year on the Pantages circuit and will be so glad to see you both. Mrs. C joins me in best regards to you Mrs. L, so-long for a few months.” In very good condition, with overall staining, soiling, and creasing.
