John Baker Omohundro (1846-1880) was an American frontier scout, actor, and cowboy who became a legendary figure in the American Old West as a Western showman performing dramas on the stage throughout the country, and was immortalized in dime novels published around the world. Bold ink signature, "J. B. Omohundro, Texas Jack, Sept. 30th, 1875,” on an off-white 3.25 x 2 sheet. Impressively cloth-matted and framed with a portrait photo to an overall size of 13.5 x 18.5. In fine condition, with a very faint stain to the center.
