Roosevelt entreats Texas to help capture a New York fugitive guilty of the "Abandonment of Children"

Partly-printed DS as governor, one page, 11 x 18, February 5, 1932. An extradition document issued from the Executive Chamber of the State of New York to “the Governor of the State of Texas, affirming that “Thomas McClure stands charged with the Abandonment of Children, which I certify to be crime under the Laws of this State, committed in the County of Kings, in this State, and may have taken refuge in the State of Texas. Now therefore, pursuant to the provision of the Constitution and the Laws of the United States in such case made and provided, I do hereby require that the said Thomas McClure be apprehended and delivered to Wilbur J. Kennedy to receive and convey him to the State of New York.” Signed nicely at the conclusion by Franklin D. Roosevelt. The lower left retains the original gold foil seal. In very good to fine condition, with light irregular toning.
