TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, October 31, 1980. Letter to Dr. Michael Anderson, in part: "This is the first opportunity I have had to tell you how much I appreciated your letter with regard to my attending the funeral of the Shah. I considered it not a duty but an honor to pay my respects to one who had been such a loyal friend and ally of the United States for over thirty years." In fine condition, with light edge toning. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
