TLS signed “Lyndon,” one page, 6 x 7, United States Senate, Office of the Democratic Leader letterhead, March 8, 1960. Letter to Philip Hamburger, in full: "Lloyd Hand has shown me your very nice letter and I certainly want to send my very warm thanks for everything you are doing. It is good to know that there is a spot of Texas deep in the heart of Michigan and that spot of Texas has so much confidence in me." Johnson writes "Philip" over the formal "Mr. Hamburger" typed salutation. In fine condition, with staple holes to the top edge.
