From the collection of longtime IOC member James Worrall—a group lot of six fabric or nylon Olympic flags, which include:
A dual-sided Canadian Olympic Committee banner flag, 28 x 60, with repeating Maple leaf patterns and the committee ‘torch’ emblem (with clean horizontal tears to the top and bottom hoists)
A dual-sided white flag, 70 x 46, featuring the Olympic rings to center
An identical pair of Toronto 1996 Summer Olympics bid flags, both 35.5 x 57, with white lettering and gold Olympic rings against a blue background
A Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics banner flag, 35.5 x 88, with white lettering and emblem against a red background
A Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics flag, 36 x 70, with purple-and-red Olympic rings and gray dots and Calgary emblem against a teal background; the presence of a large red circle suggests that this could ostensibly be a Japanese Olympic Committee flag for the XV Olympic Winter Games. In overall fine condition.
From the estate of James Worrall.
