Scarce gold-plated Centenary Medal presented to James Worrall by the International Olympic Committee “in recognition of services to the Olympic Movement” on September 3, 1994, in Lausanne, Switzerland. The medal, which measures 76 mm x 70 mm and weighs 287 gm, features raised Olympic rings with ‘flight’ lines and engraved years, “1894, 1994,” to the front, and the reverse is encircled with English and French text: “Centenary Medal.” The medal includes its matching badge with ribbon and its original presentation certificate that is signed by IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch. Both the medal and the certificate are accompanied by their original blue velvet holders.
