Two items: a TLS, one page, 6 x 7, personal letterhead, June 15, 1959, sent to Richard Lamparski, best known as the author of the "Whatever Happened to…" series of where-are-they-now books, in part: "How well I record I don't know, but if you want to try it, I'll do my best to cooperate. I don't expect to be in California for some time, but if you'll give me a ring when you are east, we can set it up and see what comes out”; and a gold-tone Christmas card, measuring 5.25 x 8 open, signed inside in black ballpoint, “Merry Xmas + hello, J. M. C.” In overall fine condition. The card is accompanied by its original mailing envelope, postmarked December 5, 1971, and addressed in Cain’s own hand.
