Very rare original 31″ x 25″ half-sheet movie poster for the 1970 documentary film Gimme Shelter, which documented the last weeks of the Rolling Stones' 1969 US tour, which culminated in the disastrous Altamont Free Concert. The poster features a total of 34 still images from the film, picturing musicians like Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Tina Turner, and Grace Slick, with one box reading: “The Rolling Stones, Gimme Shelter.” The lower border features the film’s “GP" rating and is marked as “Printed in U.S.A.” Framed under non-reflective glass and in very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds and scattered stains.
