Iconic original satin-finish 8 x 10 photo of Mapplethorpe's famous 'torso' model Charles, taken by Robert Mapplethorpe during the iconic 'Charles Torso 1985' sessions, featuring a close-up of the model's chest. In very fine condition. Consignor notes that this originates from the personal collection of Charles, and was given to Charles by Mapplethorpe at his 23rd Street studio between 5th and 6th Avenues in 1985; and that this was the only 8 x 10 of the iconic image that Mapplethorpe printed just for his model.
