Flown 1.5 x .75 fragment of a Skylab oxygen supply tank recovered in Western Australia after the space station’s fiery reentry in 1979. The piece is mounted and matted with an engraved plaque, two photos of Skylab in orbit, and one photo of Skylab reentering Earth’s atmosphere, all of which are framed together to an overall size of 20.25 x 16.25; the plaque reads: “Recovered from Western Australia on 11 July 1979 and identified as a Fragment of One of Six O2 Astronaut Life Support Tanks.” In fine condition.
