Description

Large glossy 30 x 23 photo of the damaged Apollo 13 service module floating in space after jettison from the command module, signed in silver ink, “Our view of the damaged Apollo 13 Service Module (SM) after separation from CM ‘Odyssey’ just under 5 hours before splashdown in the Pacific Ocean!’ Fred Haise, Apollo 13 LMP, April 17, 1970,” who draws an arrow to the capsule and writes “Side panel blown off,” and “Jack Lousma, Apollo 13 CAPCOM, April 13, 1970,” who adds notes about his role and then the conversation after the explosion: “I was the Capcom at MCC in the ‘White Team’ when Apollo 13 was about 210,000 miles from Earth when the accident happened on April 13, 1970. 55 hours, 54 minutes, 53 seconds—Oxygen tank #2 exploded in the service module (SM).—Jack Swigert, CMP: ‘Okay, Houston, we`ve had a problem here.’—Jack Lousma, Capcom: ‘This is Houston. Say again, please.’—Jim Lovell, CDR: ‘Ah, Houston, we`ve had a problem. We`ve had a Main Bus B undervolt.’—Jack Lousma, Capcom: ‘Roger, Main Bus B undervolt.’” In fine condition, with a few small creases (other apparent scuffs and wear are inherent to the original image and not the photo).
