James Dean’s personally-owned and -worn cream-tone collared shirt, size medium, with floral pattern, black silk accents, and the inner collar featuring a “Custom Original, John Mills, California” label. In fine condition.
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the original recipient, Michael Taylor, in part: “I obtained this shirt and other personal items belonging to James Dean directly from James Dean. I met James Dean through Gary Thompson…[and] I would spend time with James Dean at his apartment, restaurants and later I would watch [him] race in several events. I remained friends with him until his passing in 1955. This shirt has remained in my personal collection since that time.”
