TLS, one page, 7.5 x 10, March 11, 1933. Letter to William Harlan Hale, in part: "I was delighted by the present of the Covarrubias inauguration painting. I think I shall have it framed and hung in our modest cottage in Vermont. It breathes a spirit of reverence." In fine condition. Originally sold by Paul C. Richards, and accompanied by his original description. A well-known Mexican-American painter, Miguel Covarrubias was perhaps best known for his caricatures and illustrations published in The New Yorker and Vanity Fair. His painting of Franklin D.
