One of Japan's most skilled fliers, Fuchida (1902-1976) commanded the air attack against Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and was the last to leave the battle area. After World War II, Fuchida converted to Christianity and became a nondenominational preacher, traveling frequently to America and later becoming a US citizen. Scarce matte-finish 3.5 x 5 photo of Fuchida in uniform, signed along the bottom in fountain pen, "Capt. Mitsuo Fuchida." In very fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
