The Barbizon school founder writes from rural France

French painter (1814-1875) known as one of the founders of the Barbizon school. ALS in French, signed “J. F. Millet,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.25 x 8, May 15, 1860. Untranslated handwritten letter by Millet from the village of Barbizon, France, where refined his realist technique. In fine condition.
