Cleveland authorizes the "removal of such nuisance"

Partly-printed DS, one page, 10 x 14, August 9, 1883. After determining a certain business to be a public nuisance, as governor of New York, Cleveland orders the "District Attorney of said county of Queens, to take all necessary measures to execute the order aforesaid and to secure the abatement and removal of such nuisance." Neatly signed at the conclusion in ink by Governor Cleveland and countersigned by his private secretary. Impressively cloth-matted and framed with a portrait and biographical plaque to an overall size of 27.5 x 24.5. In fine condition, with light creasing at the fold intersections.
