In addition to working as an animator for major studios like Walt Disney Animation Studios and Sullivan Bluth Studios, Pomeroy (born 1951) also served as a producer and screenwriter on several animated feature films. He’s perhaps best remembered for his influential work with Don Bluth and Gary Goldman, a team that created classic 1980s films like The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, and The Land Before Time, as well as the groundbreaking LaserDisc video games Dragon’s Lair and Space Ace.
