Fabulous color vintage glossy 3.5 x 3.5 Kodacolor candid photo of Marilyn Monroe outside the Gladstone Hotel in New York City, stunningly dressed in a black gown with white fur coat, nicely signed in fountain pen, "Marilyn Monroe." Stamped on the reverse: "This is a Kodacolor Print, made by Eastman Kodak Company…Week Ending Mar. 12, 1955." In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
Originally from the collection of James Collins, a member of the so-called 'Monroe Six'—a group of admiring teenagers who followed Marilyn around the city, taking candids and getting autographs. Touched by their devotion, Marilyn offered them unprecedented access—learning their names and happily fulfilling their requests.
The Marc and Mary Perkins Collection.
