Sought-after 1921 Exhibit ‘border’ baseball card of Grover Cleveland Alexander, signed nicely across his uniform in fountain pen, “G. C. Alexander.” The postcard-sized vintage card shows the Hall of Famer hurler in a nearly full-length pose as he makes a toss in his Chicago Cubs uniform, with the lower section bearing his name in cursive above his position, team, and league, which another hand has struck through in ink and added below, “St. Louis, AL,” dating the signature to between 1926 and 1929. In very good to fine condition, with light soiling, and a small old tape stain to the lower left edge. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, with the signature graded "MINT 9."
