German princess (1786-1861) and the mother of Queen Victoria. Scarce ALS signed “Victoria,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 3.5 x 4.25, July 12, 1831. Handwritten letter to Mrs. Cust from Kensington Palace, in part: "Will you bee so good as to dine here to day at seven o'clock, to go with me to the Opera, where, be so good as to order your carriage at half past eleven." In very good to fine condition, with a rusty circular paperclip impression to the top, a tiny hole to the upper right of the signed page, and some mounting remnants to reverse.
