Somehow American journalism will not be the same without your lively column. For many of those 49 years I have been a Walter Winchell reader. Your friendship and support over the years meant a great deal to me. You'll always stand as a legend in your own time. Good luck to you in the days ahead." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which bears Johnson's franking stamp.
