Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Tho's M:Kean,” one page, 20.25 x 11.75, October 25, 1806. As governor of Pennsylvania, McKean grants William Ogden of the State of New York a "certain tract of land, called 'Land’s down’—situate in…Orange County…Containing Six hundred Acres.” Signed in the upper left by Governor McKean and countersigned at the conclusion by his nephew, Thomas McKean Thompson, as deputy secretary. The seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. Also endorsed on the reverse by Timothy Matlack, the engrosser of the Declaration of Independence. In fine, folded condition, with some old tape residue in the lower left corner.
