Five items related to the Kennedy family: a scarce printed 11.75 x 15.25 broadside of President John F. Kennedy’s Inaugural Address on January 20, 1961, presented in gold italic type on parchment with a decorative gilt border, with caption below: “Compliments of J. Ed. Connally, Chairman of Democratic Party of Texas”; a rare vintage pearl-finish 10 x 8 photo of JFK’s first presidential aircraft, a Douglas DC-6 that served as Air Force One until October 10, 1962, until it was replaced by a Boeing aircraft (pictured below the plane is Col. James B. Swindal, who piloted the fateful Nov. 1963 Dallas trip); a black-bordered mourning card, 5.25 x 3.25, sent by Ethel Kennedy to a well-wisher following the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy; and three Christmas cards from Ted Kennedy and his family, dated to 1965, 1967, and 1969, each bearing preprinted signatures and including their mailing envelopes. In overall very good to fine condition. The broadside includes its original White House mailing envelope.
