Senior British naval officer (1726-1799) best known for his service in the American Revolution, during which he was Commander of the North American Station and a peace commissioner. Hand-addressed address panel, 4.75 x 3, addressed in the hand of Richard Howe to “Mr. Vincent Hall, Langar, Bingham, Nottinghamshire,” dated and franked in the lower left corner, “London Feby, Twenty Eighth 1798, Howe.” Affixed to a slightly larger sheet and in fine condition, with light creasing and soiling.
