Exceedingly rare signed book: The Lords: Notes on Vision. First edition, printed as a limited issue of 100 unsigned copies. Self-published and privately printed by Western Lithographers, Los Angeles, 1969. Housed in the original blue portfolio with red string tie and gilt lettering, "The Lords / Notes on Vision / James Douglas Morrison," 8.5 x 11, 82 loose-leaf pages. Prominently signed on the title sheet in brown felt tip, "J. Morrison." These unbound pages could be rearranged in any order by the reader. In fine condition, with edgewear and light creasing to the portfolio, and wear to the portfolio's red cardstock tiedowns; inner pages are fine to very fine with some slight color transfer from the navy blue portfolio to page edges. This super rare edition of Morrison's first self-published poetic work is incredibly hard to find: we have offered only two examples of it, both unsigned. As a signed example in unusually good condition, this is a treasure that combines the realms of music and literature.
