Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15 x 8, August 10, 1809. President Madison grants Adam Rudebaugh of Pennsylvania a parcel of land "to be sold at Cincinnati by the act of Congress, entitled 'An act providing for the sale of the lands of the United States in the Territory north west of the Ohio, and above the mouth of Kentucky river.'" Signed at the conclusion by James Madison and countersigned by Secretary of State Robert Smith. Lower left bears the original embossed white seal. In very good to fine condition, with overall light foxing and staining.
