Description

General during the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 (1751-1829) who served as secretary of war under Thomas Jefferson. ALS signed “H. Dearborn,” one page, 7 x 5, April 26, 1814. Handwritten letter to "Henry," in full: "I wish you to ask Maj'r Freeman to state to your in a note which months he payed me for in July 1812." In very good to fine condition, with staining at the corners from old adhesive residue on the back.
