Description

Partly-printed DS, signed “Edwin Warfield” and "Oswald Tilghman," one page, 17 x 13.75, November 3, 1905. State of Maryland commission issued to "Palmer Tennant, Esquire, of Hagerstown, Maryland…That pursuant to Joint Resolution No. 5 of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1904, You are hereby appointed, A Commissioner of the State of Maryland to the Jamestown Exposition, tio be held at Hampton Roads, Virginia, May 13th, 1907." Signed at the conclusion in ink by Governor Edwin Warfield and Secretary of State Oswald Tilghman. The large gold foil seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In fine condition.
