Two items: a matte-finish 7 x 5 portrait of Van Allen in front of a satellite dish, signed in black felt tip, "J. A. Van Allen"; and an FDC with a cachet honoring Nicolaus Copernicus, signed in black felt tip, "James A. Van Allen." In very fine condition.
