Noteworthy $500 antique mortgage bond of Susquehanna Steam Lumber and Lath Mills and Lumber Drying Company, issued March 1, 1867, 15 x 16.5, with nine coupons intact below. Mortgage bond of 1877 payable at a rate of 7%, signed below by R. P. King as president, Charles Mathews as treasurer, and four trustees. The bond bears a trio of fantastic upper vignettes—a buck on the edge of a river, a lath machine by J. C. Browns, and lumberjacks chopping and sawing trees in a forest—and the reverse features a map of "Havre de Grace and Neighborhood, showing the location of the Susqu. Steam Lumber & Lath Mills & Lumber drying Co." In fine condition, with scattered creasing and repaired fold separations.
