American magazine magnate (1898-1967) who founded Time, Life, Fortune, and Sports Illustrated magazines. Two items: a vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait of the publishing mogul, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "For the Schendel collection! Henry R. Luce"; and a TLS, one page, Time Inc. letterhead, July 28, 1964, transmitting the photo to a collector. In overall fine condition.
