Description

Businessman and engineer (1914-1987) who sold and promoted cars and consumer electronics, remembered for his eccentric and outrageous television commercials. He pioneered car stereos by creating the Muntz Stereo-Pak (better known as the 4-track cartridge), produced one of the first black-and-white television receivers to sell for less than $100, and is sometimes credited with coining the abbreviation 'TV' for television. Glossy 8 x 10 close-up photo of the innovative entrepreneur in his glasses, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, "For Jim, Best wishes, Earl Madman Muntz." In fine condition.
