Charlie Duke's Apollo 16 'Type 1' insurance cover with a cachet of the mission insignia and two sets of astronaut wings, bearing an April 16, 1972, Kennedy Space Center launch date postmark, signed in felt tip by John Young, Charlie Duke, and Ken Mattingly. In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from Zarelli Space Authentication, and by a signed letter of authenticity from Duke, who writes: "This is to certify that this is an authentic 'insurance cover' signed by the crew of Apollo 16 a few days before our launch. The covers were left with our team leader to be postmarked after our liftoff…These covers were divided among the crew when we returned. This one has remained a part of my personal collection to this day." A scarce Apollo 16 insurance cover deriving from the collection of history's 10th moonwalker.
