Directed by Sam Peckinpah, The Getaway proved a box-office hit and was the eighth highest-grossing film of 1972. The film also introduced co-stars McQueen and MacGraw, who became involved in a public affair during production. MacGraw, who was then married to film producer Robert Evans, filed for divorce and married McQueen a year later in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They divorced in 1978. This is the first signed picture of the couple-and stars of the cult classic The Getaway-that we have ever offered.
