Truman signs an inauguration invitation: "It was a great day!"

Fantastic official 6.5 x 10 Congressional invitation to the second inauguration of President Harry S. Truman on January 20, 1949, nicely signed at the bottom in fountain pen, "It was a great day! Harry S. Truman, Independence, July 28, 1958." Unsigned ephemera includes official portraits of Truman and Barkley with facsimile signatures, two tickets for admission to the Presidential Reviewing Stand, an invitation to the Inaugural Ball addressed to Drucie Snyder (daughter of Secretary of the Treasury John Snyder) with its original mailing envelope, a traditional oversized souvenir invitation, and an invitation to the Inaugural Dinner. In fine condition.
