First edition Lunar Shaded Relief map entitled "Julius Caesar, LSR 60," prepared by the Defense Mapping Agency for NASA in September 1978, scale 1:1,000,000, 29 x 22, signed in blue felt tip, "First Lunar Landing, July 20, 1969, Buzz Aldrin," who also marks the Apollo 11 landing site with an "X." Rolled and in fine condition. Julius Caesar is a lava-flooded lunar impact crater with a low, irregular, and heavily worn wall with a diameter of 85 km. Named after Roman statesman Julius Caesar, it is located to the west of Mare Tranquillitatis, and directly southeast of the crater Manilius on the Mare Vaporum.
