Description

King of Prussia (born 1795) who reigned from 1840 until his death in 1861. He was known as the 'romanticist on the throne,' and is best remembered for the many buildings he had constructed in Berlin and Potsdam, as well as for the completion of the Gothic Cologne Cathedral. LS in German, one page, 8.25 x 10.25, August 11, 1849. Untranslated letter signed at the conclusion by Frederick William IV as King of Prussia. In fine condition.
