Description

American businessman, politician, and member of the esteemed Guggenheim family (1867-1941) who served as the senator of Colorado from 1907 to 1913. TLS, one page, 8 x 10, United States Senate letterhead, December 9, 1907. Letter to noted Colorado miner Benjamin Stanley Revett, known as the 'Father of Gold Dredging in the United States,' in full: "I am today forwarding the petition enclosed in your letter of the 2nd instant, to the Director of the Geological Survey, and adding my endorsement thereto. I trust that the matter will be taken up at an early date by the Survey, and beg to assure you of my cooperation in the matter." In very good to fine condition, with areas of light dampstaining.
