Hand-addressed mailing envelope imprinted with Carnegie's New York return address, 6 x 3.5, addressed in Carnegie's hand in ink, "C. W. Gervig, Esq., c/o Teutonia Fire Insura[nce], Allegheny, Pittsburg." Postmarked at New York, December 29, 1911. In very good condition, with light creasing and overall soiling. Accompanied by a postcard depicting the Andrew Carnegie Residence in New York City, with a citizen's playful handwritten note on the reverse. "I think I shall buy this house," postmarked in 1910.
